with Kochkäse

  1. Wash the potatoes and cook them with the skin on in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain the potatoes and cut them into thin discs.
  2. Wash the spring onions, remove the green roots under the bulb then finely chop the green stems and the white bulb.
  3. Fry the diced lardons, the potato discs and the sliced onions in the oil. Season to taste
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan-assisted oven).
  5. In a saucepan, stir the Kochkäse and the thick crème fraîche over a low heat.
  6. Spread the potatoes over the bottom of a gratin dish. Pour the Kochkäse sauce over the potatoes and bake the gratin in the oven for about 20-30 minutes.
